There are ioslaves for http, file, ftp, gzip, tar, smb, pop3, ldap, info, nntp, and imap4 (and possibly more) as of the time of this writing. The http, file, and ftp ioslaves are included with the libkio library -- the rest are found in the kdebase package under kioslaves.
